Hazel Gap Barn
As I’ve mentioned in one of my previous blog posts, I’ve been lucky enough to shoot at the Cripps & Co. wedding barns a number of times over my years as a wedding videographer. It was a pleasure to pay another visit to my local Hazel Gap in Budby for Emma and Andy’s wedding.
With both the bride and groom having a background in graphic design, it was no surprise that their attention to detail was spot on. From personalised newspapers for their guests to read, to the petal confetti, to the table decorations, to the magician getting everyone laughing with his tricks, it was a great wedding through and through.
But of course, my favourite part of any wedding isn’t the stuff and the things, it’s the people and the emotion. There were a lot of laughs, and a few tears too, and you can see that everyone is having a lovely day.
We were lucky with the weather, with the September sun allowing everyone to enjoy the courtyard, and giving us a spectacular golden hour. I have worked with Anna from Pear and Bear Photography several times before, and as she knows Hazel Gap really well she was able to take us to a secluded woodland spot which was lovely to shoot in.
As the evening reception kicked off, Andy surprised everyone with a song he’d written from his new wife for the band to perform; talk about setting the bar high! The connection that Emma and Andy have with each other is clear to see, and it was wonderful to capture their wedding day.
